Exercise 9 in unit 13

Why isn’t ‘enough’ translated parallel to ‘too’?:
rÌw cOycÌ lÌxtym.
amount-acc1 human-acc-acc2 want-acc-qualacc2.

Solution

This means ‘people to an amount like the wanted ones / as if they were the wanted ones’, implying that the present group of people is different from the one I want because the latter is part of the hypothetical comparing world. This is similar to comparisons such as ‘Fantasy is as thin as air [but is something different than air]’, or to ‘Desdemona loves Othello despite her father’s objections [but the actual reason is something different]’.
